Anastasia Azure, Artist-In-Residence,
demonstrates how to dress a floor loom and weave with fishing
line.
Nylon monofilament, also
known as fishing line, has unique properties such as flexibility,
durability, memory and translucency. It is an exceptional
weaving material, however it presents specific challenges.
Discussing the nuisances and equipment modifications, she
will teach how to keep the spool tangle-free, winding onto
the warping board, dressing the loom (back-to-front) and weaving.
